Hello everyone, today I will talk to you about my position regarding the statement "Everyone should be vegetarian". I think it is true, that it should be an obligation first for an ethical issue and for respect for animals. Second, because food is much healthier for your body, and third, but not least, for the care of the environment.
In this post I will talk to you about the last point: regarding the care of the environment. Currently the greatest threat facing humanity is climate change and whit a food system based on the production of food such as meat, the end is really catastrophic.
The livestock industry is the one pollutes the planet the most, where more water reserves are used to support the lives of animals that will be killed for our consumption. Many methane gases toxic to the environment are generated unlike agriculture. To support the overpopulation of people, all these examples that I have just given increase and will be at the expense of the planet. Choosing a vegetarian and even vegan diet will help extended the life of planet.
Much of the changes necessary to combat the environmental crisis we are going to focus on are a multitude of aspects related to what we eat, how that food is produced, how it is transported, how it industrializes and how it is consumed. For the previous examples, eliminate meat from the diet if it is a way to improve the sustainability of the planet.
Following a vegetable-based diet is the best and most effective thing we can do from our individuality to save the planet.
Thanks for reading me and become a vegetarian!
ResponderEliminarI believe that your reasons for being a vegetarian are very valid. We must become aware of the care of the environment. However, I think it should not be an obligation, it would be better if it were a conscious decision of each person.
Regards!
I think we need a critical eye to the industry of animals products. However, we can´t impose vegetarianism to all the people because not everyone have the same resources, culture and relationship with animals.
ResponderEliminarHi Maca!
ResponderEliminarI agree with your arguments on this great issue.
I believe that we must become aware of life in general and love it in such a way that we can respect every living being that surrounds us!
Regards.
